Consumer Direct is very pleased to offer Fiscal Employer Agent (FEA) Services for Participants in Idaho’s Self Direction Program, My Voice, My Choice.

You are in charge of your services! In Idaho’s Self Direction Program, you are an employer. This means you set up your own small business to be a household employer. As the employer your business provides your own services.

You complete certain steps that set you up as an employer. The workers you hire, train, schedule and supervise are your employees.

Consumer Direct’s job is to help you take care of the things you need to do as an employer. For example:

• File needed Federal and State forms so you can be the employer
• Take care of the paperwork to enroll your workers
  
• Collect time sheets
• Pay your employees from your budget
• Withhold and pay employer and employee payroll taxes
• Send payment to businesses and agencies where you buy goods and services
• Keep track of the dollars in your budget account
• Send you a summary of your spending each month
• Answer questions and provide information to you and your workers about employment issues
• Let you know the results of your workers' criminal history check
• Set up employer and employee files to keep all the paperwork
